Web Based Application

Web Based applications with backend databases, allowing for a secure and easy method to access your information from anywhere.  Most companies today will have more than one database of information that really should be combined, as well as being accessible from anywhere in the world over a secure method of access.  In some cases this is the one thing holding these companies back from their true potential.

At Fenway Park event, Gig IT Consulting working in conjunction with an other services company to provide technical support for a fundraiser.  The event had a live auction of license plates, in addition to a large number of plates in an online silent auction that was ending that night.  We provided and setup 26 notebook computers accessing the silent auction website.  In doing this people who attended did not lose out on plates by be there and could/did bid right up to the end of the silent auction. 

Based on the results and requests from other non-profit organization we are looking at providing this same service and a silent auction site.  To help charities market and make more from their silent auction items.       

Another example of a database application helping a company recognize it true revenue potential, was a Timeshare Resort in CA.  Where they could rent a timeshare at the owner’s request and for each rental the owner would make back money on their investment and the resort made a percentage of the gross revenue.  After the end of the first year, the gross revenue was over $500,000.
